Birth: Architectural Innovation Across the Pacific
Spacenest LLC is a strategic pivot established by Guangdong Huakun Construction Co., Ltd. (a leading enterprise in China's light steel construction industry for 20 years) to deeply cultivate the US market. Based on the technological accumulation and supply chain advantages of our parent company's completion of over 3000 light steel projects in China and Asia, we have landed in North America with cutting-edge technology and mature experience. At a time when the US construction industry is facing challenges such as labor shortages, project delays, and sustainable transformation, we adopt a dual engine model of "Chinese intelligent manufacturing+localized services" to bring more efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly light steel building solutions to the market.
2010-2015
China's technological accumulation period
🔹 In 2010, the parent company Guangdong Huakun Construction Co., Ltd. was established in Foshan, China, focusing on the research and development of light steel keel construction technology and participating in the formulation of China's "Technical Standards for Low rise Cold formed Thin walled Steel Buildings". 🔹 In 2013, the first fully automated light steel production line in Asia was built, achieving component accuracy error of ≤ 1mm, laying the foundation for industrial construction. 🔹 In 2015, completed the "Nanhai Light Steel School" project (China's first 8-degree seismic resistant zone all light steel public school) and won the gold award from the China Steel Structure Association.
2010-2015
2016-2019
International Technology Validation Period
🔹 In 2016, the Huakun technical team went to the United States for investigation and collaborated with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to conduct research on hurricane resistant nodes for light steel buildings. 🔹 In 2018, we undertook the construction of a lightweight steel terminal building (100000 square meters) at Phnom Penh International Airport in Cambodia, and verified our tropical climate adaptability technology. 🔹 In 2019, the light steel system passed ICC-ES certification and became one of the first Chinese light steel enterprises to comply with American standards.

Rooted in the United States, Casting the Future

Mission: Not only to build, but also to create value

Vision: To become a beacon of light steel construction in the United States

As the US construction industry faces challenges such as labor shortages, rising costs, and stricter environmental regulations, light steel keel construction is ushering in unprecedented development opportunities. According to the Light Steel Alliance of America (SFIA), by 2030, the market share of light steel structures in residential and commercial buildings will grow to 35%, becoming an important alternative to traditional wooden structures and concrete.

Spacenest LLC will rely on:

✔  China's mature technology -20 years of experience in optimizing light steel systems, directly adapted to American standards

✔  Localized delivery - led by a US team in design, procurement, and construction to ensure efficient compliance

✔  Cost advantage - Large scale supply chain reduces costs by 15-20% compared to American counterparts

Assist American builders and developers in seizing the opportunity of the light steel era, and jointly shape a faster, greener, and more economical future of construction.
